From its inception five years ago as Rockville Harley-Davidson/Sonoma squad through its evolution to the current Domestic Elite program, Eli Hengst and Tom Buzas, the teams founders, have worked to realize the vision of building and sustaining a Mid-Atlantic elite-only racing team committed to the highest level of competition.

Top-Ranked Amateur Squad Looks to Build on Past Successes
In three short years, these teams have realized that vision: in 2008, Battley Harley-Davidson/Sonoma was the #1 Ranked Amateur NRC team in the USA and the only Amateur Elite team to win a National Race Calendar Criterium in 2008.

In 2009, 2010, and 20122 the team’s success in the Mid Atlantic region continued, with members of our team racing coast to coast and landing podium spots in most races entered, and frequently beating their professional competitors in head-to-head matchups.

2012 Roster
Currently, the entire Domestic Elite Program is composed of USA Cycling designated Category 1 racers – the top division of domestic cycling – and a level that qualifies the entire roster to race in Pro 1/2 and Professional United States Cycling and International Cycling (UCI) Events.
